Kyrian Corona joined the Burbank Chorale in 2005 and has served as its president and development director since 2006. She majored in piano performance at Cal State Long Beach, studied film scoring at UCLA Extension, and composition at Pierce College. She has also worked privately with some of LA’s top voice and piano teachers. Kyrian sings with Independent Opera Company and Wagner Ensemble, and serves on their executive boards. Kyrian is a communications specialist, with an expertise in public relations, social media, and content creation.

Suzanne Gilman

  • Associate Development Director

Suzanne Gilman joined the Burbank Chorale in early 2020. She has been involved in choral music since high school, and has performed with the Colburn Community Choir under Mikhail Shtangrud, the St. Charles Borromeo choir under Paul Salamunovich, the LA Byzantine Chorale under Constance Callinicos, and has sung with the St. Sophia Cathedral Choir for over 20 years. She is delighted to be a part of the Burbank Chorale community. Suzanne works as an accounting and finance consultant, and studies voice, piano and the drums in her spare time.

Thomas Safer picture

Thomas Safer

  • Membership Director

Thomas Safer joined the Chorale in October of 2004. He became the Tenor and Bass Section leader in 2005 and Membership Director in September of 2009. Tom has a long musical background, singing for 3 years with the Beverly Hills High School Concert Choir, Minnesingers, and Madrigals under the direction of the late Joel Pressman, 4 years with the Northridge Masterworks Chorale under the direction of John Alexander, and 25 years of Vocal Training with Misty Johnstone. He describes his years with Misty as "Time that has changed my whole outlook towards music". Tom also spent 7 years with the Angeles Chorale, under the direction of Donald Nuen, and presently sings with two other choirs: The St. Francis de Sales Paris Choir and the Wagner Ensemble, both under the direction Jeannine Wagner-Gallardo. Tom is a valued member of our team taking on various tasks as needed and supporting his fellow singers.

Brandy Grote picture

Brandy Grote

  • Acting Historian

For over 15 years, Brandy Grote has been singing Tenor with the Burbank Chorale. She has been volunteering on the board for more than a decade. Brandy is a connoisseur of instruments and plays the tuba, bassoon, saxophone, and didgeridoo. Brandy is U.S. Marine Corp Veteran.

Roslyn Mizgorski 

  • Social Media Director

  • Acting Recording Secretary

Roslyn joined the Burbank Chorale in 2023 and has been serving as the Social Media Director since 2024. She has performed with the Shaler Area Chamber Choir, where she discovered she was a tenor, and with the Temple University Singing Owls Choir. She was a Communication Major and Double Minor in Theater and French. Roslyn is now an actor and a livestream host.

Amy Herbert

Amy Herbert has been with the Burbank Chorale as a Soprano for over 3 years. She has been serving as the Publications Director and Web Master from the get-go. Amy is a professional voice actor in Los Angeles. 

Dennis Brown picture

Dennis Brown

  • Database/Mailings Director

Dennis has been providing music for television since 1987, when he scored his first hit series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. After a long string of animated shows, he began scoring for sitcoms, having successful runs with Grace Under Fire, Dharma and Greg, Two and a Half Men, and Mike & Molly. Dennis began his affiliation with the Burbank Chorale almost twenty years ago, singing tenor, conducting tenor rehearsals, creating an occasional choral arrangement, and managing the database. On one delightful occasion, he even called in his band to accompany the chorale on an arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody” he had created especially for the Burbank Chorale.

Melanie Rockwell picture

Tickets & Box Office Committee Leader

Melanie joined the Chorale in 2007 and began supporting the Ticket Committee in 2010 by creating events on EventBrite and BrownPaper Tickets, facilitating the Box Office Will Call list, and managing/documenting the collection of ticket sales from the Chorale members. Melanie began singing with her church choir in middle school, continued through high school and collegiate choral/musical theatre performances, and received a BFA in Acting from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.  She pursued an acting career in both NY and Los Angeles for many years and now holds a position as a Lead Business Analyst for a Fortune 100 financial company.  Melanie continues to act on the stage occasionally and was last seen as Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet.
